Designed for the active snorkeler who wants to see it all, the Safari is our premier multi-stop trip. Unlike our “Classic” tour which visits two sites at a relaxed pace, the Safari moves quickly to hit 3 distinct ecosystems inside John Pennekamp State Park.
- Triple the Odds: Visiting 3 distinct sites gives you the best statistical chance of spotting Key Largo’s “Big 3” (Sea Turtles, Spotted Eagle Rays, and Nurse Sharks).
- Small Groups: We cap this trip at 70% capacity. No crowds, just plenty of room to relax.
- High Speed: Less time traveling, more time exploring.
The Itinerary: We keep the boat moving to maximize your wildlife encounters. You will get approximately 30 minutes of snorkel time at each site.
Total Experience: 3.5 Hours (Pace: Active)
- Stop 1: The Icon. We snorkel the world-famous Christ of the Abyss statue (weather permitting).
- Stop 2: The Reef. We explore healthy shallow reefs like Grecian Rocks or Banana Reef.
- Stop 3: The Wildcard. Captain’s choice! We head to the spot with the clearest water, such as North Dry Rocks or Gorilla Reef.

Note: This is an unguided trip. Crew remains on board for safety while you explore with your buddy.Important Notes
- Swimming Requirement: For your safety, you must know how to swim to participate in this activity. You will be in open water where you cannot touch the bottom.
- Arrival Time: The time listed on your ticket is your Check-In Time. Please arrive at the shop at this time to get fitted for gear.
- Weather: Sites are weather dependent. If the Christ Statue is too rough, the Captain will select 3 safer, high-quality reef alternatives.
