Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park – Key Largo

Once slated to become a condominium development, this park contains one of the largest tracts of West Indian tropical hardwood hammock in the United States.The park is home to 84 protected species of plants and animals, including wild cotton, mahogany mistletoe and the American crocodile.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park – Key Largo

Established in 1963, John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park was the first undersea park in the United States. John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, and the adjacent Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, cover approximately 178 nautical square miles of coral reefs, seagrass beds and mangrove swamps. The park extends 3 miles into the Atlantic Ocean and is approximately 25 miles in length. These areas were established to protect and preserve a portion of the only living coral reef in the continental United States. The park was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 14, 1972.

FKBC is the Upper Keys first microbrewery, located in the Morada Way Arts and Cultural District. They always have a great selection of our favorite beers, as well as a rotating list of seasonal and barrel aged beers, on draft. There is plenty for everyone to enjoy. Take a tour of the brewery, enjoy a flight of our beers, check out all the artwork, play some games, or just relax and listen to some music. Every third Thursday of the month 6pm-8pm is Art Walk: local farmers market.

Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters – Marathon

At Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters it is easier than ever to interact with marine species of all shapes in sizes in environments that closely mimic those found naturally in the Florida Keys. Their primary attractions revolve around their unique Aquarium Encounters. Their hands-on encounters immerse their visitors in the heart of the action and allow them to get up close and personal with 50+ species of tropical fish, rays, and sharks!

The Turtle Hospital – Marathon (Rescue & Rehab Center for Turtles!)

Guests are invited to take a guided educational tour of the hospital facilities and the sea turtle rehabilitation area. This educational experience lasts approximately 90 minutes and provides a presentation on sea turtles as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the hospital facilities and rehabilitation area. At the end of each program guests are invited to feed the permanent residents.

Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory – Key West

Located at the southernmost end of Duval Street, the Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory is one of the island’s most popular family-friendly attractions. It’s home to more than 60 species of butterflies and 20 species of exotic birds. A visit to the Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory is divided between the climate-controlled conservatory where the butterflies flutter freely, the learning center, an art gallery and a gift shop.

Conch Republic Seafood Company – Key West

Enjoy fresh dock-to-dish dining in the building formerly known as the Singleton Fish House and Ice Plant. For many years, local shrimpers unloaded, processed, and shipped thousands of pounds of Key West Pink Shrimp from this location. Look around you and you’ll see the original concrete floor, grates, salvaged wood and the Singleton logo sign right above our stage.
