Essential FAQs for Your Key Largo Snorkel Adventure
- Online Completion: The waiver can be completed digitally on your computer or smartphone at any time prior to your arrival.
- At Check-in: If you are unable to complete it online, we have tablets available at our check-in counter, but completing it beforehand will save you time.
- Guardianship: Waivers for all minors (guests under 18) must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
This is a mandatory step for participation in our snorkeling tours and ensures everyone understands and accepts the terms of the excursion.
The customary gratuity for a snorkel tour typically ranges around $10 per person or 10-20% of the total cost of the snorkeling excursion. Snorkel tour Captain and Crew merit a gratuity when they elevate the tour into an exciting and enjoyable experience. Tipping is entirely optional, and individuals have the freedom to refrain from tipping, particularly if they are dissatisfied with the service provided.
- Safety is the top priority for Silent World.
- Captain’s Discretion: All of our trips are highly dependent on weather conditions (primarily wind speed and direction). Our experienced USCG “Master” Captains make the final decision to run or cancel a trip based on safety, high winds, rough seas, and poor visibility.
- Customer Options: If **we** must cancel a trip due to unsafe weather conditions, you will be notified promptly and will receive a **full refund** or the option to **reschedule** your tour.
- Cancellations: Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure forfeit the full price paid and will not receive a refund.
- Rescheduling: You may reschedule your trip anytime up until 24 hours before departure. Rescheduling within 72 hours of departure will be attempted but cannot be guaranteed.
- No-Shows: If you fail to show up for your trip, no refund will be issued.
We aim to visit the iconic Christ of the Abyss statue on one of the two reef sites during every single tour, as long as conditions allow.
Please Note: The Christ of the Abyss statue is located on the seaward side of the barrier reef. Because of this position, it is the first site to experience high waves and surface current. If the Captain determines conditions are unsafe due to weather, we will prioritize your safety and comfort by choosing an alternative, equally spectacular reef site within the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Your safety is our top priority.
All-inclusive covers: All necessary snorkel gear—high-quality mask and snorkel, fins, and a snorkeling vest, as well as pool noodles. Included on tour are chips, soda, filtered ice water, and REEF safe sunscreen.
